Step by Step

This tour starts in Glasgow and takes you to the wildest and most beautiful part of Scotland: the Highlands. The price includes both transport in a comfortable vehicle and an expert guide who will tell you about the history of the region. The tour lasts approximately 11 and a half hours and passes through some fantastic places such as:

  • Glencoe: one of the most famous and impressive valleys in the Highlands.
  • Fort William: a town best known for Inverlochy Castle and the Caledonian Canal locks (Neptune's Staircase), an engineering feat that allows boats to negotiate a 20 metre drop.
  • Mallaig: charming fishing village and departure point for ferries to the Isle of Skye.
  • Glenfinnan Viaduct: a scenic bridge across the Scottish countryside, passing close to Loch Shiel. It owes its fame to the Harry Potter films, as the Hogwarts Express crosses this viaduct to reach the school.
  • Tarbet: a traditional village situated around a small natural harbour. It is a popular departure point for ferries to the Whisky Isle.

Another highlight is Luss, a village on Loch Lomond known for a very old cemetery with graves dating back to the 7th century. It overlooks Ben Lomond, a mountain popular with walkers and home to grouse, skylarks, pine martens and dozens of other species. The tour does not include lunch but there is no shortage of options at lunchtime.
