Before you start cooking , you will go to a market in the Vietnamese capital to buy the different ingredients you will need for your cooking class. The class will take place in the kitchen of a local to immerse you in the culture of the country.
Throughout the country there are three important qualities of Vietnamese cuisine: freshness, creativity and presentation. Most of the meats and produce used in Vietnamese cuisine are slow-cooked, retaining much of their original texture and colour.
An example of the menu you will be offered is a banana flower salad, as well as the typical dish Bun Cha, a pork dish with sweet and sour sauce. You will also be offered the recipe for traditional fried spring rolls, as well as egg yolk and condensed milk dessert with a creamy flan over coffee or dark chocolate.
Throughout the experience you will have the opportunity to sample lunch or dinner, as well as seasonal fruits, local wines, herbal tea or coffee, and alcoholic beverages.
