Step by Step
A visit to the Exploratorium in San Francisco is an innovative experience exploring the arts, science and technology.
You'll gain access to six galleries, including more than 600 unique exhibits, where you'll interact with textures, colours and sensations that will elevate your perception to the highest level.
You'll see a myriad of colour nuances in a kaleidoscope of water and ice, study how dermestid beetles feed on decomposing tissue, skin and flesh, and contemplate your own ocular vision. You will contemplate your own ocular vision from a multiple perspective, through a set of parabolic mirrors.
This is why this space is considered, more than a museum, a place to play with everything around you: your own shadow, time, communication, the effect of light in space and the interpretation of the things and sensations that surround you.
These are just some of the activities you will have the opportunity to experience when using your full day pass at the Exploratorium, a site focused on participants engaging and interacting with all the objects of the practices.
There is also a shop inside the museum, where you'll find interesting objects to take home.
If you plan to have lunch during your visit, you can do so at the Seaglass restaurant, which offers stunning views of the San Francisco Bay, where the museum is located. And for coffee or tea, the Seismic Joint Cafe is the place to be.
