Your professional guide will take you on the tour and tell you about the bloody history surrounding the town of Franklin. The military campaign was one of the worst disasters of the war for the Confederate States Army.

With this reservation you will gain entry to three historic sites in the American city that still bear traces of the Civil War:

  • Carter House: The Carter House, now open to visitors, was located in the centre of Union's position and still shows hundreds of bullet holes.
  • Lotz House: The house, which has been on the National Historic Register since 1976, is located in the heart of historic downtown Franklin, at "ground zero" of the Battle of Franklin.
  • Carnton Plantation: The Carnton Plantation, home of the McGavock family during the battle, still stands and is open to the public. It was one of 44 Franklin homes that served as a hospital.

These are among the few places still standing from the events of the Battle of Franklin that you will have the opportunity to visit.

During the day, you will also have free time to wander around the city on your own to eat or shop in the many shops.
