Travel on your own from Las Vegas to Hollywood by plane
Flying with an airline such as Delta Airlines is a quick, cheap and comfortable option. The flight takes about an hour and you can hire a service to take you from your hotel to the airport.
You can expect to spend about 4-5 hours if you include the drive from the airport in Los Angeles to your hotel. Technically, this is the same amount of time you would spend on the road if you travel by bus. However, this option may be more comfortable as you can rest and have a bite to eat at the airport.
Before you travel, make sure you check the airline's luggage policy so you know what type and amount of luggage you can take without paying extra.

Travel on your own from Las Vegas to Hollywood in a car
Do you love to see the sights from the road and go at your own pace, stopping wherever you like? If so, I recommend renting a car. You'll even have more time to see and do in Las Vegas in just two days before you leave.
Different rental companies, such as Happy Tours and Kayak, offer a variety of car models with different capacities.
It's best to travel in groups of 4 people to split the rental price. In addition, I recommend you to research well which stops you can make along the way depending on the time you have. Remember that there are around 450.6 kilometres to cover.
Practical information
- Price: around 50 € per day plus petrol, food and other expenses.
- Journey time: without stops it will take you approximately 5.5 hours.

Getting to Hollywood by train
Travelling on Amtrak trains from Las Vegas to Hollywood is perhaps one of the most tedious ways on this list, but it will be worth it if you're a train buff.
This option is the most expensive and takes around 73 hours. The approximate distance the train travels is 2611 kilometres. If you choose this option , don't expect to save money or time. Ultimately, this option is only best if you love trains or if you can get a bargain.
Although there are trains that travel direct, you will most likely have to make transfers. This will require you to take a shuttle or bus to another station. If you don't want to make these changes of transport on the way, I advise you to book your tickets in advance.

- Price: approx. 300 €.
- Journeytime: 73 hours, i.e. just over 3 days, with several transfers.

Other means of transport from Las Vegas: Taxis
Taxis are a popular means of transport, especially for short distances. In the case of the route from Las Vegas to Hollywood, it is not the best.
The average taxi fare on this route is €560. It's not really worth it compared to some of the other options I mentioned earlier.
However, once you are in Hollywood, I do recommend taking taxis to Beverly Hills, the Walk of Fame and other places. This will get you there faster and you won't have to wait for public transport.
