More about: Day Trips to Ferrari World from Dubai
One of the must-do things to do in Dubai is to visit Ferrari World, the world's largest indoor park dedicated solely and exclusively to the car brand. As well as official shops and galleries that show you the evolution of Ferrari cars over the years, this park is famous for its roller coasters and rides.
Getting to Ferrari World is quite easy and there are different excursions depending on how long you want to extend your visit or what you want to spend more time on. Although there are many options, I've been looking at the best ones to make it easier for you to choose so you can start warming up and book your trip to Ferrari World.
1. Ferrari World and Abu Dhabi City tour
If you are going to Ferrari World but don't want to miss the opportunity to visit other areas of Abu Dhabi, YAS Island, where the theme park is located, will be one of the stops on these excursions, but first, accompanied by a specialised guide, you will visit the Sheikh Zayed Mosque or the royal palaces. All this with the comfort and security of knowing that entrance fees are included. Plus, you'll travel in a shared shuttle bus that will transport you from your hotel to each point on the tour for approximately €190.
Of course, these tours are mainly for going to Ferrari World from Dubai, so visits to the rest of Abu Dhabi are quick, although you'll have more than enough time to take some photos and keep the souvenirs. The good thing is that as it's a long, full day tour, they usually include a drink and, on request, lunch, so you have enough energy to ride all the Ferrari rides.
Although you will spend a long afternoon (around 4 hours) at the park and will have time to ride all the roller coasters more than once, the simulator and go-karts are not included on these tours.
Interesting facts
- Price: approximately 190€.
- Duration: about 10 hours (4 hours at Ferrari World).
- What's included: entrance fees to Ferrari World, transfers, express tour of Abu Dhabi and specialised guide.
- Recommended if: while taking advantage of your trip to Ferrari World you also want to visit Abu Dhabi.
2. Excursion to Ferrari World from Dubai with racing simulator included
Getting from Dubai to Ferrari World Abu Dhabi is a lot easier if you do it with an organised tour, trust me, why do I say that? Because you can book it all at once and at a single price starting from €100, as these tours include full park entry and transport in a private coach. The comfort of travelling in an air-conditioned vehicle that picks you up from your hotel and takes you to the park with a small group of people is a great advantage.
Enjoy all the Park's activities
By avoiding transfers or moving around Abu Dhabi, you'll have more than enough time (approximately 5 hours) to ride the more than 30 attractions at Ferrari World and even feel like a real racing driver on the karting track and simulator. Your savings may not be enough to buy a car, but you will be able to get into the biggest Ferrari shop and buy some souvenirs of your visit.
My advice is to check whether food is included or not, as in most cases it isn't. If that's the case, don't worry. If this is the case, don't worry, because at Ferrari World you will have restaurants to choose from. Although we are in the United Arab Emirates, Italian cuisine is the star of this theme park, so you can recharge your batteries with a good pizza. Just don't think about riding the Formula Rossa, the fastest roller coaster in the world, right after.
See a more traditional side of the city
If you find the adrenaline rush overwhelming, don't worry, because these tours to Abu Dhabi from Dubai include a quick visit with a professional guide to the Sheikh Zayed Mosque, a very traditional but immensely beautiful place that acts as a counterpoint for you to get to know Abu Dhabi beyond Ferrari.
Facts of Interest
- Price approximately €190.
- Duration: about 7 hours (5 hours at Ferrari World).
- What's included: entrance to Ferrari World (with race simulation and go-karting), transfers, visit to Sheikh Zayed Mosque.
- Recommended if: you want to spend half a day at Ferrari World only.
3. Full private tour to Ferrari World from Dubai
Ferrari is synonymous with exclusivity, and there is no more special way to visit its theme park in Abu Dhabi than in private transport. On the day of your choice, a professionally chauffeur-driven car will pick you up from your Dubai hotel to take you to Ferrari World without having to wait for any other passengers or making any stops in between. Once in the Park, you can explore all the areas, attractions, shops and museums without rushing, knowing that when you decide to leave your chauffeur will be waiting for you.
As this is a private tour where you choose the time and place of pick-up, the price of these excursions is a little higher (from 120€), but it will be worth it if you know you want to go to Ferrari World and have a whole day to experience the adrenaline that runs through the park.
Interesting facts
- Price: approximately 120€.
- Duration: around 8 hours.
- What's included: full entrance to Ferrari World, private transfers with hotel pick-up.
- Recommended if: you want to enjoy Ferrari World at your leisure.
4. Ferrari World Express Excursion
If during your day trip to Abu Dhabi you want to visit Ferrari World but are not really interested in accessing it and its roller coasters, I recommend booking a bus tour of Abu Dhabi city which includes a quick visit to the park. These tours are very comprehensive, as they have a specialised guide and also make stops at other tourist attractions in the city. The price is a little more affordable (approximately €60) as it doesn't include entrance fees.
Ferrari World is the largest indoor theme park in the world, so even if you don't want to go inside, my advice is to at least go and see it from the outside. I can assure you that you will be impressed by the huge red dome and you will want to take more than one photo of it. Also, even if you don't have a ticket for the Park, you can go to the official shops and buy some souvenirs.
Interesting facts
- Price approximately 60€.
- Duration: about 5 hours.
- What's included: transfers in a shared vehicle.
- Recommended if: you just want to see Ferrari World but don't want to pay to get in.
5. Skip the line tour to Ferrari World
If you've ever been to a big theme park like Ferrari World, which receives thousands of tourists every day, you'll know that the queues to ride each attraction can be very long, making you spend more time waiting than enjoying the roller coasters. My advice? Book an excursion that includes priority access and no queuing. It costs around 200€, but I promise you'll be investing in a better experience.
Have you ever had that feeling that you've been queuing for hours only to spend less than 5 minutes on the roller coaster? This is what will happen to you when you ride Formula Rossa, if you don't have a queue-free ticket.
Otherwise, you can skip the queues. After all, every minute in this park counts and there is so much to see and do! Plus, you'll arrive at Ferrari World in private transport, with a small group of other visitors, so the waiting time is reduced from the very beginning. In total, more than 6 hours in which the cars and roller coasters will infect you with their speed.
Interesting facts
- Price approximately 200€.
- Duration: around 6 hours.
- What's included: full tickets to Ferrari World with priority access (no queuing), private transfers with hotel pick-up.
- Recommended if: you don't like queuing and want to ride the rides several times.
6. Excursion to Ferrari World and Warner Bros Park in Abu Dhabi
Are you a fan of amusement parks and want to see them all? If you already know you want to go to Ferrari World from Abu Dhabi, I recommend booking an excursion that also includes entrance and transfer to Warner Bros World, so you can visit both parks on the same day for a combined price of approximately 150€. As both are located on YAS Island, the private coach that picks you up from your hotel in Dubai will also take you from one park to the other.
If you're travelling with children and a family, this tour is a great alternative. On the one hand, it is much more complete and combines two parks that are entertaining and suitable for children (especially Warner, which has attractions that the little ones will enjoy to the fullest).
On the other hand, having a private transport that picks you up at the hotel and, at midday, takes you from Ferrari World to Warner Bros Park, will make it much more comfortable to move around with the kids. Remember, however, that when you book the excursion online you will have to mark that you are going with children, as the entrance will have a reduced price and the coach may have to incorporate special seats for them.
Useful information
- Price: approximately 150€.
- Duration: around 10 hours.
- What's included: full tickets to Ferrari World and Warner Bros Park, private transfers with hotel pick-up.
- Recommended if: you like theme parks.
Is it worth going to Ferrari World Park?
If you like adrenaline, watching Formula 1 races on TV, learning first-hand about the history of a historic brand and discovering the more modern side of Abu Dhabi, you have to go to Ferrari World Park. However, don't expect a park similar to others like Disneyland, because the style is totally different. Therefore, if you are not 100% convinced to go or you are not particularly interested in the cars, it is not worth paying the high entrance fee.
On the other hand, if you are interested in riding the world's fastest roller coaster, the Formula Rossa, remember to check the official website to see if it is open, as at certain times it is closed for maintenance or security and you don't want to buy a ticket only to find out later that the ride is not available.
How much time do I need to visit Ferrari Park Abu Dhabi?
It will depend on how interested you are in Ferrari and how keen you are to get on the rides. My advice is that, as there are usually long queues to enter and ride each rollercoaster, you should book at least half a day at the Park.
There you will find everything you need for a full day, from restaurants to shops to dance shows, acrobatics and even optical illusions. In order to organise your visit, remember to check the opening times of each attraction and check if they are open or closed for maintenance.
What attractions are not to be missed at Ferrari Park?
In total, 19 attractions await you at Ferrari World. Some are more exciting than others, but if you like adrenaline, speed and cars, any of them will make you feel a bit like a Formula 1 driver before and during a race.
Formula Rossa: the fastest
Without a doubt, the Formula Rossa is a must, as it reaches its maximum speed in just 5 seconds and, although short (the total distance is less than 2 minutes), it is very intense and will make your heart race out of your mouth.
Forano GT
Another worthwhile attraction is the Fiorano GT Challenge, where you will feel like a racing driver trying to get your car to the finish line first.
This rollercoaster is actually made up of two rows of old Ferrari cars. Both groups start at the same time, but only one arrives at the finish line first, so you'll want to ride more than once to get your victory.
G-Force
This attraction is a free fall, but beyond the adrenaline rush, what you'll enjoy is the view you'll get on the way up.
As an elevated observation deck, the attraction will lift you over 60 metres above the red dome of the building, so you'll get some pretty incredible views.
What else is there to do at Yas Island?
Yas Island is not only home to Ferrari World. Just 30 minutes from Abu Dhabi, there are other activities and plans waiting for you on this man-made island that you can combine with your trip to the theme park, such as a beach area or shows and concerts.
On the island you can get a close-up view of the Yas Marina circuit, where the Abu Dhabi Formula 1 Grand Prix is held, and also relax in Yas Bay, a huge pier on the coast where you will find restaurants, clubs and luxury hotels.
How much are you looking forward to going to Ferrari World now? As you can see, there's no shortage of ways to organise your trip to the world of speed, adrenaline and Italian cars.
