Step by Step

Discover Qasr Al Hosn in Abu Dhabi with these tickets. Avoid the queues with these fast-track passes to explore the oldest building in the UAE' s capital, which tells the story of the country's ruling Al Nahyan family. With this ticket, you can also watch live handicrafts being made at the House of Artisans.

Qasr Al Hosn traces the radical evolution that Abu Dhabi has undergone in recent decades. This complex is the oldest standing structure in the city and was built in the 1790s and was the residence of the ruling family.

The building also housed the National Consultative Council, founded by the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, founder of the Emirates. Transformed into a museum in 2018 after a decade of intensive conservation and restoration work, entering Al Hosn Fort is like stepping into a time capsule.

In the House of Artisans, you can watch live how objects are made using ancient Bedouin techniques such as talli, a type of silk or cotton embroidery, al sadu, for weaving beautifully coloured motifs on clothing, and khoos, a method of weaving palm leaves into baskets.

These passes also give you a 10% discount when buying souvenirs in the museum's souvenir shop.
