Step by Step
With this combined ticket, you can tour two of Bangkok's most fascinating cultural sites: Ancient City and the Erawan Museum. Ancient City is an extensive open-air park that recreates in reduced (but detailed) format the most representative temples, palaces and markets of Thailand. Divided into five zones representing different regions of the country, it offers a panoramic and educational insight into Thailand's architectural and cultural diversity.
During your tour of Ancient City, you will see a replica of the Grand Palace, the reclining Buddha statue at Wat Pho, the Temple of Dawn (Wat Arun), and much more. In addition, the tranquil atmosphere, manicured gardens and man-made lakes make the experience a relaxing journey through centuries of history.
The Erawan Museum, meanwhile, is an architectural and spiritual gem. Its main structure is a gigantic three-headed elephant, a symbol of wisdom and power in Hindu mythology. Inside, spread over three levels, you will discover religious artefacts, traditional works of art and a mystical, thought-provoking atmosphere.
Admission includes access to both sites on the same day, so it is advisable to plan your visit in advance to make the most of the experience. Modest and appropriate clothing is compulsory (avoid braces, shorts and short skirts), and you are not allowed to bring your own Thai costumes, under penalty of fine.
