How to book an excursion from Benidorm
Choose the day of your visit, as this way you can book your excursion from Benidorm online in advance. Also, when you are choosing the day of your excursion check if the weather will be good, as it is recommended that the day is not cloudy or rainy, to better enjoy the experience and take unforgettable pictures.
Also, you should check the departure points of the excursion and choose the most convenient one, as the tours depart from different places in Benidorm.
What will I see on this type of excursion?
Among the different things you can see on this type of excursion are views of natural landscapes, for example, views of the Costa Blanca (on the Mediterranean Sea). In addition, you can enjoy the old architecture, either from the 18th, 19th and 20th century.
You will also visit different museums, where you can learn about the culture of different Spanish villages. You will also be amazed by secret caves with crystal clear waters and the possibility of snorkelling.
Tips for an excursion to the coves and caves of the Costa Blanca
After going on such excursions I can give you the following advice:
- Be physically prepared before the excursion, as some activities are based on hiking, caving or coasteering. For example, the latter sport can include jumping off cliffs.
- Swimming is super important, even if you wear a life jacket.
- Take an energy bar or snack with you in case you get hungry along the way. And, of course, I advise you to bring a bottle of water. Normally, the most complete meal on this type of excursion is eaten at the end or at a specific stop (not at any time).
- Wear comfortable clothes, preferably beachwear (overalls, swimming costumes or wetsuits, for example). However, you should know that some excursions include the wetsuit and accessories for diving or snorkelling.
On the other hand, here are some tips for kayaking correctly.
How much does a trip from Benidorm cost?
Normally, an excursion from Benidorm costs between 20 and 40 €, but to this price you have to add the entrance fees to museums and other attractions. Also, I recommend you take some extra money with you so you can buy clothes, food, drinks or any souvenirs you like while you're out and about.
What are the must-see towns on the Costa Blanca?
First of all, if you are staying in Benidorm, you should not miss the neighbouring village of Villajoyosa, as it has traditional colourful houses and the Old Valor Chocolate Factory. Also, I recommend you to visit El Albir, a village that is part of the municipality of Alfaz del Pi.
In addition, you can visit Calpe, Moraira or Dénia, which are several towns with important attractions. For example, visit the castle of Dénia and the castles of Moraira. There are many historical sites and beautiful views of the Mediterranean in some of these towns.
On the other hand, don't forget to visit Guadalest, which has interesting old monuments where you can take a few photos. Likewise, a visit to Valencia, which is my favourite destination when I am staying in Benidorm, is a must. Valencia is approximately 1.5 hours from Benidorm.
What are the advantages of taking a guided tour vs. visiting Benidorm on my own?
Check out these advantages and compare them:
- Useful information about the place: If you take a guided tour you will get to know historical and cultural details of Benidorm, including information about archaeological sites. In other words, the guide will tell you the history of your favourite places in Benidorm or the Costa Blanca. On the other hand, if you go on your own, you will have to research the information.
- Time management: Normally, with a guide you will be able to visit more places in less time, depending on the tour you choose. On the other hand, when you go on your own you may take a little longer at each site and not have enough time to see the main attractions of Benidorm in 1 day.
- Go at your own pace: This is an advantage of going on your own, as not all guided tours allow you to go at your own pace. For example, if you go on your own to a village on the Costa Blanca from Benidorm, you can spend as long as you want at each site or attraction, as you don't have to follow a timetable.
