If you want to see how the ancient Egyptians lived, this is your chance. On the two floors of the museum, you can access the permanent collections, which are divided into different categories. You will also have access to the temporary rooms in the museum, which are renewed from time to time.
As you enter the museum, you will come across different statues that will take you back to Ancient Egypt and different dynasties. Among the most outstanding figures are the statue of a noble character belonging to the Ancient Empire, as well as the statue of Pharaoh Ramses III, who is considered to be the last great pharaoh of the New Empire.
It should be noted that the Egyptian civilisation stands out for the large number of material creations bequeathed to posterity, which you will be able to see in this museum. The head of the god Osiris in gold, storage jars, bronze mirrors depicting the gods Osiris, Isis and Nephthys and even erotic figures are some of the jewels you can see.
On the other hand, on the next floor, you will have the opportunity to learn about the beliefs and funerary practices of the ancient Egyptians, something that attracts the most curious and expert visitors. Among the highlights are the mummy renamed the Lady of Kemet, as well as a cat mummy, the animal par excellence of that era.
