Step by Step
Experience one of the most magical moments of the day at one of Cape Town's most iconic landmarks: Lion's Head. This hiking tour takes you to the top just in time to see the sunrise or sunset, depending on the time of day you choose. The hike is led by an experienced guide, who will accompany you all the way and ensure you enjoy the experience safely.
The ascent begins at the foot of the mountain and takes approximately 1.5 hours, with stops for rest and photo opportunities. Although there are some areas with rocks or steep stairs, the trail is suitable for people with basic fitness and requires no previous mountaineering experience.
From the top of Lion's Head you will have a 360° panoramic view taking in Table Mountain, Camps Bay, downtown Cape Town, Robben Island and the Atlantic Ocean. Watching the sun rise or set from this high point is one of the most breathtaking experiences you can have in the city.
Your guide will not only guide you along the way, but also share interesting facts about the geography, history and biodiversity of the area. And because it's a small group tour, you'll enjoy more personalised attention and a peaceful atmosphere to connect with nature.
