Step by Step
Embark on a trip to the Douro Valley from Porto and discover the natural beauty of this region. Known as one of the most beautiful landscapes in Portugal, the Douro Valley is famous for its vineyards. Together with a guide you will visit a winery and taste the local wine varieties in a wine tasting. You will visit the picturesque village of Pinheiro and have lunch in a typical restaurant. You can also add a cruise on the Douro in a Portuguese boat.
The tour starts with a comfortable transfer from your hotel in Porto to the Douro Valley. You will travel in a very small group of maximum 8 people to make it more comfortable. During the ride in a well-equipped vehicle, you will enjoy the views of the valley and talk to your guide.
Once you arrive in the valley, you will visit Pinheiro, a typical village in the interior of Portugal, set on the river bank and surrounded by vineyards. You will visit a traditional winery where you will learn about the local wine production process. In a wine tasting guided by a wine expert you will be able to taste the different varieties produced in the area.
After the tasting, you will enjoy a Portuguese lunch in a local restaurant.
