Get to know the famous Wieliczka salt mines with this half-day excursion from Krakow. With a local guide and in groups of around 30 people you will discover this impressive UNESCO World Heritage Site. This English-language guided tour of the salt mine takes you through up to 20 chambers connected by 2.5 kilometres of tunnels. To reach the first level, you descend a staircase of 380 steps. Through the underground tunnels and chambers you will see everything from salt carved figures to chapels.

This tour includes a round-trip transfer from Krakow, with a choice of hotel pick-up or a meeting point near the river. In the first case, you must be at the hotel lobby at least 5 minutes before the stipulated time. In the second case, you must be at least 15 minutes in advance.

During this guided tour in English, you will have the opportunity to explore the various underground chambers of the mine, which stretch for more than 300 kilometres.

Together with an expert guide, who will accompany you throughout the tour, you will walk through serpentine corridors and down more than 800 steps. You will also have the opportunity to visit one of the mine's most famous chapels. In this salt-carved chapel you will see impressive sculptures, altars and candelabras made entirely of salt.
