Step by Step
An excursion to Chichen Itza, Cenote Saamal and Valladolid from Cancun will allow you to visit three of the most strategic points of the area in a full day excursion. You will travel from Cancun to one of the most important monuments of the Yucatan Peninsula: Chichen Itza. There you will be amazed by the pyramid of Kukulcan, which means "the castle". This pyramid is known for casting shadows on each step to create the image of a snake descending.
When you arrive at the Saamal cenote, you will be greeted by nature at its most authentic and wild. It is an open cenote with an artificial waterfall, which makes it even more spectacular to look at. You can descend the steps inside the cenote until you reach the platforms. There you can take some impressive photos and enjoy a refreshing swim.
Valladolid is one of the best known and most picturesque colonial cities in the Yucatan. You will stroll through its streets full of culture, visit the tourist market of Quintana Roo and enjoy its commercial atmosphere that unites the past and the present.
