Venice Food Tour

This gastronomic tour of Venice will immerse you in the culinary heart of the city, as you sample a wide variety of local wines, tapas and sweets. For approximately two and a half hours, you'll explore the most authentic corners, in the company of fellow Italian food lovers, and enjoy the magic of a traghetto ride along the Grand Canal, passing the iconic Ponte Rialto.

You can join a small group of up to 12 people or, if you prefer a more personalised treatment, opt for the private version of this itinerary. There is no charge for children under 6 years old.

Your local, English-speakingguide will take you to discover the flavour of Venice through five "enotecas" where Venetians come to drink and socialise. Taste regional wines and savour the famous Venetian aperitif called "cicchetti" at each stop; small dishes that mix seafood, polenta and other delicacies typical of Venetian cuisine.

In addition, you will cross the Grand Canal in a "traghetto" as the locals do, to continue exploring the most authentic bars and back streets full of history.

The meeting point will be in Campo de la Maddalena, right in front of the Maddalena Church. There you will start this initiation to Venetian culture that will definitely complete your experience in the north-east of Italy.
