Step by Step
Embark on an enchanting wine tour of Tuscany from Rome. On this experience, designed for small groups of young travellers aged 18-39, you will have the opportunity to explore the Chianti Route and the town of San Gimignano with an expert guide.
Your first stop will be at a Tuscan winery and wine tasting school, where a passionate wine producer will guide you through a tour to develop your taste buds. You will taste around four different types of wine, including the renowned Chianti Classico. In addition, you will enjoy some traditional aperitifs.
Afterwards, you will head to a second local winery overlooking the famous towers of San Gimignano, an area known for the production of white wine. The winemakers will guide you through the vineyards and cellars, sharing the secrets of wine and oil production. Here, you will taste some of the winery's wines, including Vernaccia, a rosé wine. You will also have the opportunity to buy local produce and wine at affordable prices.
After your wine tasting, you will have free time to explore the charming historic centre of San Gimignano, one of the most beautiful medieval towns in Tuscany. If you wish, you can browse the local shops, try a gelato from a gelateria or just stroll through the narrow streets and gaze at the iconic towers.
Finally, you will return to Rome. After a day of approximately 12 hours full of tastings, discoveries and authentic experiences, you can relax without having to worry about a thing.
