Step by Step
Enjoy a trip full of culture, gastronomy, wine and beautiful sea views on this excursion to Taormina, Savoca and Castelmola from Catania. Three small towns in Sicily where you can experience the captivating essence of the largest island in the Mediterranean, on a tour available with a minimum booking of two people.
You will see the must-see sites and monuments of three paradisiacal destinations in a single day, with a driver-guide who will take you to appreciate the beauty of these must-see Sicilian gems, travelling in an air-conditioned minivan.
Arriving in Savoca you will witness a charming medieval village that seems to have been trapped in the Middle Ages. There you will visit the iconic Vitelli bar, where scenes from the film The Godfather were filmed, which you can see in photos and artefacts. Across the street, in Piazza Fossia, you will get a breathtaking panoramic view of the valley, an unforgettable postcard of the region.
In Taormina, its flowery streets and dreamy landscapes await you, making it one of the most beautiful towns in Italy. You will stroll along Corso Umberto, the main street of the place, full of restaurants, shops and places to buy souvenirs. In this area you will taste typical appetizers of Sicilian gastronomy and wines produced in the region.
You will have the opportunity to visit the Greek Theatre (entrance fee not included), a Hellenistic site of which the ruins of the amphitheatre still remain, where you can enjoy an idyllic postcard view of the east coast, with the coastal town of Giardini-Naxos and the volcano Etna on the horizon.
The third stop is Castelmola, a village of just over a thousand inhabitants located at an altitude of 550 metres up the hills of Taormina. Its location has earned it the reputation of being a natural "great balcony" that also offers unparalleled views of Mount Etna and the Ionian Sea.
You'll wander through the narrow streets of its historic centre, where you can take in the culture and tradition of the locals as you stroll through St. Anthony's Square, the Cathedral and the Castle. Here you will sip a glass of almond wine and taste a delicious dessert.
