Step by Step
This free tour of Athens is the perfect option for curious travellers who want to go beyond the obvious. During the tour, you'll see some of the city's most iconic sights, but you'll also discover less touristy corners with a lot of charm and history.
The route starts in front of the Acropolis metro station, and from there you will visit the exterior of the Herodes Atticus Theatre, pass the prison of Socrates and climb the hill of Philopapus, from where you can enjoy one of the best panoramic views of Athens.
You will also stop at the Areopagus, considered the first court in the world, and walk through the narrow streets of Anafiotika and Plaka, two of the city's most picturesque and traditional neighbourhoods. Along the way, your guide will talk to you about history, philosophy, and daily life in Athens, making a journey that connects past and present.
The experience ends in Monastiraki, passing through the Ancient Agora, the modern Psyrri district and the enchanting "Wonderland of Athens". A dynamic, entertaining and fact-filled tour that will leave you with a new perspective of the Greek capital.
