You will be able to rent a bicycle or golf cart free of charge and have lunch, which is included, in the heart of the Royal Domain.
A real luxury on wheels that you can do with your family, as the trolley can accommodate up to four people. You can also choose from a wide variety of bicycles and add a child seat to them.
Among the places you will pass through on this tour are:
- Palace of Versailles Gardens: considered one of the largest and most magnificent gardens in the world, they were built by order of Louis XIV in 1661 and designed by the famous landscape architect André Le Nôtre. They are characterised by wonderful walks, fountains, sculptures, flowerbeds and groves of trees.
- Le Petit Trianon: it is a kind of manifesto of the neoclassical movement. Completed in 1768, it provided Louis XV and his new mistress, the Countess Du Barry, with the intimacy that was so lacking in the palace. Marie Antoinette received the Petit Trianon as a gift from Louis XVI in 1774 and developed a great attachment to the property.
- Le Hameau de la Reine: at the heart of the Trianon estate, there is a vestige of Queen Marie-Antoinette's passion for nature: the Hameau de la Reine, Marie-Antoinette's refuge.
- Le Grand Trianon: a unique architectural composition, with a central colonnaded gallery, whose construction began in 1687. The king used this new palace as a private residence where he could spend time with Madame de Maintenon.
In addition, lunch will be an authentic picnic lunch consisting of a Parisian ham and cheese sandwich, mineral water, French pastries, as well as wine or soft drinks. There is also a vegetarian option, which you will need to specify when booking your tour.
Also, if you take the tour during the weekend, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the fountain shows to see the water jets in action.
