• Trocadéro station, line 9. A 14-minute walk away.
• Bir-Hakeim station, line 6. 10 minutes on foot.

How much does a metro ticket cost in Paris?

To get to the Eiffel Tower by metro you can buy a single ticket for €1.90 or more. However, if you have a Paris Pass on your holiday you can use the city's public transport network (bus, RER, metro or the Montmartre tram) for free within zones 1-3. The Eiffel Tower is located in Zone 1.

Many Parisians use it in combination with the metro for their journeys because the ticket serves both modes of transport and the two overlap at numerous stations along the route. However, the RER can sometimes move even faster as it does not stop at as many stations.

There are 5 RER lines that operate in the city centre like any other metro line. To get to the Eiffel Tower on the RER, line C is the one to take(Champ de Mars - Tour Eiffel station). It's a 7-minute walk to the iconic monument.

To get around the French capital, one of the most popular forms of transport used by Parisians are the Vélib' public bikes, which you'll find scattered along many streets and the Parisian network of bike lanes is quite extensive and safe.

How do I use the Vélib' bike-sharing system in Paris?

Vélib' is a self-service bike rental system accessible to everyone during their stay in the city. They can be rented 7 days a week and 24 hours a day and there are several options available:

• The more basic Ticket-V (45 minutes for around €3).
• The 24-hour pass in Paris (for around €5 or €10 depending on whether the bike is electric or mechanical).
• The 3-day pass in Paris (for around €20).
• Passes are also available if you plan to spend a longer stay in Paris in the city.

From the Batobus stop at the Eiffel Tower pier, it's only a 4-minute walk to the entrance to the monument.

By local train from Disneyland Paris

Go to the Chessy-Marne la Vallée train station next to Disneyland Paris and take the RER line A there.

Trains run every 10 to 15 minutes and the journey time is about 1 hour and 15 minutes.

There are several stations near the Eiffel Tower where you can get off the train, but the views from the Place du Trocadéro will amaze you. That's why I recommend you get off there, but first you'll have to get off at Charles de Gaulle - Étoile and transfer to line 6 in the direction of Nation. A few minutes later you will arrive at Trocadero.

By car from Disneyland Paris

If you have travelled by car to Disneyland Paris and you also want to use it to go around the French capital and get to the Eiffel Tower, the distance is about 50 km on the A4 motorway. It will take you about 50 minutes depending on Parisian traffic, which can be a bit chaotic at times.

Once there, there are car parks around the Eiffel Tower where you can park your car while you visit. Here are some of them:

• Quai Branly-Tour Eiffel car park (at 25 Quai Jacques Chirac). An 8-minute walk away.
• Pullman Tour Eiffel car park (at 18 avenue de Suffren). 5 minutes on foot.
• Paris Autocar car park (at 443 Avenue Joseph Bouvard). 6 minutes on foot.
• Car park Indigo Paris Joffre Ecole Militaire (at 2 Place Joffre). 12 minutes on foot.

By taxi from Disneyland Paris

Although most tourists usually choose the RER train to get to the Eiffel Tower from Disneyland Paris, another option that can also take you there and that we cannot rule out is to take a taxi to do this route.

It is true that it is not very cheap but it is one of the most comfortable means of transport, so if budget is not a problem, it can be a possibility. All you have to do is book your taxi and tell it that you want to go to the Eiffel Tower. From €90 you can get a transfer in about 50 minutes.
