This temple was built over the tomb of Saint-Denis, a bishop of Paris who died in 250 A.D. However, it was converted from a basilica to cathedral status in 1966.

    It's not a place I would go to more than once, but it was worth the visit to learn about the history of France. I recommend the visit, the atmosphere is very pleasant and you learn a lot.
