Enjoy a guided architectural tour of Helsinki, a 3-hour tour exploring its most iconic attractions. An expert local guide will take you through the city and all its history, taking in architectural highlights such as:
- Helsinki Cathedral: its stunning neoclassical architecture will take your breath away. Since its construction in 1852, it has been an important landmark and one of the most photographed churches in Helsinki.
- Helsinki Music Centre: a building of modern architecture, designed by the famous Finnish architect Tuomas Siitonen, who was inspired by Finnish nature to create a unique and futuristic structure.
- Temppeliaukio Church: also known as the rock church, it is located on a rocky site and carved into the rock itself, which gives it a mystical and natural feel. The roof of the church is made of copper and is an example of modern architecture.
- National Library of Finland: The building itself is an example of modern Finnish architecture and features a wealth of art and interesting exhibits.
- Helsinki Central Station: historic building in neo-renaissance style. Designed by Finnish architect Eliel Saarinen. Its main façade features a granite-columned entrance and a series of arches that give it a majestic appearance.
The experience is very complete, the guide will also take you to many more places such as the Academic Library, Oodi Central Library, Finlandia Hall, Kamppi Chapel, Amos Rex Museum and more.
The tour is conducted in small groups of about 6 people to ensure a more intimate and personalised experience.
