Step by Step
Walk to the top of Mount Sinai and down to St. Catherine's Monastery on this 14-hour tour from Sharm el-Sheikh . At all times you will be accompanied by a local Egyptologist guide whose commentary you will listen to as you follow in his footsteps up the mountain. This is a comfortable experience as it is designed for small groups of about 15 people.
You will be picked up and returned directly to the door of your hotel in an air-conditioned vehicle and dropped off at the foot of Mount Sinai to begin your ascent. Entrance to the Santa Catalina Natural Park is included, so you will finally get to see the sunrise at an altitude of 2300 metres , providing you with unforgettable scenery all around you.
To make the walk easier and more bearable you can also choose the option of including a camel ride. This way, you will be able to rest for part of the journey as well as having an additional experience.
At the top you can also see the interior of a chapel and a mosque which will be fully illuminated. You will see all kinds of art and centuries-old Christian relics. You'll discover the story of how Moses received the Ten Commandments on this mountain, and even where he saw the burning bush.
