Step by Step

A bike tour of Bogotá will be the perfect opportunity to visit the city in a different and very original way. It is a fairly flat city, so the tour will be easy and will allow you to reach many more points of interest in less time.

The tour lasts half a day and you will be accompanied at all times by an expert local guide. He or she will provide you with all the relevant information at each point of the tour so that you can learn more about the culture and history of Bogota.

As the idea is to give you a panoramic view of the city and its daily life, the itinerary will combine emblematic monuments with walking places used by the city's inhabitants in their daily lives:

  • You will walk through the historic centre, with its colonial churches, the Botero and Gold museums and the Plaza de Bolivar.
  • Ascend the Carrera Séptima, passing the Parque de la Independencia, the bullring, the National Museum and the Merced neighbourhood.
  • Tour the elegant Teusaquillo neighbourhood in the west of the city.
  • See some of Bogotá's largest murals on Calle 26.
  • Pass by the Memorial centre, dedicated to documenting human rights violations

To soak up the culture and flavours of the city, visit a traditional market where you can sample fruits, juices, corn on the cob and grilled meats. You will enjoy all these street food delicacies in the National Park.

The tour also includes a visit to a small coffee roastery. Here you will see how Colombia's famous Arabica coffee beans are selected and roasted for export and you will have the opportunity to taste delicious coffee.

In this activity you will have at your disposal the option of a group tour and a private tour, so you can choose the one that suits you best at the time of your booking.

The tour was very good, but I found it a bit tiring. I recommend it to do it once and learn a bit more about Bogotá.
