Step by Step

This bike tour allows you to discover Vancouver, a beautiful city located between the Rocky Mountains and the Strait of Georgia, which connects with the Atlantic Ocean. The activity includes both the rental of a bike (with helmet and lock) and an expert guide, who will tell you the history of the Canadian metropolis.

The route departs from the city centre and is mainly on cycle paths. If you want an electric bike, you can get one for a small supplement. The route takes about 5 hours and touches on Vancouver's most important attractions:

  • Stanley Park - The city's largest green space, located at the western end of the Downtown peninsula. The forest preserves century-old trees, such as the majestic red cedars and Douglas firs.
  • English Bay - Vancouver's most important bay. It's the perfect place to relax on the sand, play beach volleyball or take a bike ride.
  • Granville Island - Actually a peninsula, it's best known for the Public Market, a covered market specialising in fresh produce and crafts.
  • False Creek Seawall - The waterfront promenade, perfect for outdoor fitness activities
  • Olympic Village - The neighbourhood built to host the athletes of the 2010 Winter Olympics. It houses the Science World exhibition centre and The Birds, giant sparrow sculptures by Canadian artist Myfanwy MacLeod.
  • Chinatown - Chinese immigrants came to the city in the late 19th century, mainly to build the transcontinental Canadian Pacific Railway. Today, it is known for its traditional restaurants, the Millennium Gate arch and the world's narrowest building, the Sam Kee Building.
  • Gastown - The oldest part of the city, characterised by typical Victorian architecture. Numerous restaurants, cafes and boutiques are concentrated here, as well as the steam clock (one of the few surviving clocks in the world) and the iconic Flat Iron Building.

Please note that Vancouver has an oceanic climate and rainfall is very frequent. The tour also runs in the event of rainfall and, in this case, a waterproof poncho will also be provided.
